Updates from UK, The SW Panther and Cheetah's been performing great, it's been almost 5 months now and I haven't experienced any problems with them yet. I am constantly checking my GB, particularly the trigger sense and I noticed that there are no burned marks on 2 of my AEG with this computers, compared to my stock AEG's, The internals are all still holding fine with our set up here 350FPS at 24-26 ROF.

Hi mamba, You got some of the very first. I can't believe it has been five months!! Now, the Panther platform simply "RULES"!! Failures are still zero and so are odd problems... At $80, 'newbies' tend not to buy them which helps all that. But the Panther platform is going to be around just about 'forever' now I did good there Gandolf

Hi Gandolf,
How do you reset a 4 vibration pre firing error, I can't figure it out. It state on the manual that the trigger was press prior to start up. I have tried to disconnect and reconnect the battery and the motor plugs but it keeps on vibrating 4 times pre firing mode. Need your expertise advice.

Mamba,
The computer thinks the trigger is on when you plug in the battery. Put the gun in safe and be sure nothing is holding the trigger down. If that does not work check for shorted are damaged wires to the trigger. Gandolf

Hi Gandold
I have a favour to ask for. Can I convert bord PANTHER PLATFORM into a different format then in software PCB Expres. In our country (The Czech Republic) nobody knows how to work with this software. I would like to built Panther platform myself, but I am not familiar with these softwares. Could I ask you for help? People here only know software such as EAGLE or ORCAD and other CAD systems. Thank you very much in advance.
Yours Sincerely Ujosvec

Hi, PM me or write me over at extreme-fire.com. I can e-mail you diagrams and large PC board pictures so you can make new files. The ExpressPCB files only work with their company. Very fast easy and inexpensive but closed source. The layout is not very critical or anything so it should be easy to quickly layout again. It can probably be improved a lot too. Gandolf

Just an FYI... I have 200 Panther platform units out there now. 90% in the Cheetah form. I have seen one failure in a backwards battery connection into a BIG LiPO. The Cheetah's uber emergency fuse trace served it's purpose and I replaced it for free. I was alway too scared to try that Glad it worked! One backwards battery report from up North fried a connector but the MOSFET machine survived. A blown CPU from near a motor and a popped 4905 from the Philippines... I don't know what they did, but that does not worry me... So after seven months, "serious problem" failures of the Panther platform are still "zero"!!!!

As usual, if any mosfet designed by you breaks, there's a high possibility its from here. And if you can get an info about 'how' it broke, please do so. It will be a big help.

I never got any more info back on that. I think 3One took care of it.

Actually 2 Jaguar units failed... The First one was the 4905 got a hairline crack, Looks like it was stuffed somewhere in the gun which ended up with mechanical stress... No continuous firing here... The second one was a strange one as no burn marks or overheating signs, i must have overheated it when i was soldering the 4905 on the board...
But one thing is for sure... On the panther platform the 4905 becomes the first one to go... Which acts like a fuse if anything goes wrong...

Hmmm... 4905 problems again. Its always the breaking fet.... But as long as the main fet is OK, then its all good.
