Hi, Due to popular demand, there is another one now The SW-JAGUAR is the CHEETAH with the computer brain removed. No CPU or computer electronics at all. Just a plain old AB MOSFET on the long Panther Chassis. Just a lean mean killing machine It was easy to do since Mike designed the top control board Just the basic drive electronics now. Sort of like the very first Panther unit that Ringsted has but in the long form and with all the "extra" parts removed. No fuse!! I did put a thermal fuse right on top of the main FET with a heat collector but that is pretty basic "self" protection only. If you like to short things out and hold the trigger down, you probably want an extra fuse in there. It would be interesting to think about "fusible link" wiring too! I think it will go for $60. My site will not have them till I get around to fixing the links for it. But I have them if you want them I don't have a manual or schematic yet. I guess Mike and I don't need no schematics anymore But the wiring is as usual... Gandolf

I like this for my AEG with Extreme set-up and probably incorporate the resettable fuse for added protection as majority of my friends love to hold the trigger down. Yahoo!

Well lookey what I got!! 1980 Chevy 3/4 ton long bed Crew cab... A very long story..., but it was free (well, $200 for registration and insurance, let alone gas to drive it to Terra... ) 350 CID with four barrel carb and four speed manual tranny and manual choke... The Cheetah would be the only computer in the "test" No twisted wires here and the truck starter probably has pretty good voltage kick backs!! It has the integrated GM starter solenoid unit but with a Ford separate starter relay for safety... It has a brand new battery needed since it was 'on ice' for three years... NO AEG can beat this little 'MOSFET power' experiment!!!! YES!! I am thinking of "STARTING A TRUCK" with the Panther/Cheetah!!! OH!!! The bragging rights!!!!!!!!!! Bwahahahhahahaha!!! Gandolf

I would pay to see you start your truck with one of your mosfets. How about this, if you do, I will tatoo "Extreme-fire.com" On my hand (I'm not serious)

I think I can wire it in right at the battery. Just have the ignition switches turned over to start and let the MOSFET do it. If something goes bad, the normal switches can take over and shut it down. Piece of cake!! But a little closer to springtime It has GM HEI ignition and the electronic voltage regulator in the Alternator. But I have fixed those about 100 times in the past if I bust them It gets a little odd in that once it starts (hope hope), the alternator will push current backward into the battery (though the MOSFET) in the normal charging mode. Maybe the alternator should just be taken out of circuit and disabled... I would love to have like $10,000 of test equipment monitoring a bunch of stuff too... Then all the camera and video work. And the big "coverup" in case it does not work The Devil is in the details... Gandolf

i'm new to this site and i'm amazed by the panther/cheetah platform...
@gandolf
for the jaguar unit, can i use the irf1404z mosfet in replacement for the irf1324?
and also can i replace the fan3227t with ir4427?

Hi,
The IRF1404z would do just fine but it just would not drive the super high currents like the 1324. The IR4427 should also do fine.
